NedCar is a complete manufacturing facility producing totally finished cars. The video ' From a coil to a vehicle' shows you the complete production process. Production takes place at four separate locations on NedCar’s factory site:
the Press Shop, for pressing sheet steel parts; (incl. video)
the Body Shop, where the car body is shaped and structural stability is created; (incl. video)
the Paint Shop, where the body receives its corrosion protection and gleaming finish; (incl. video)
the Final Assembly Shop, where the bodyshell is trimmed and turned into a complete car. (incl. video)
Some of NedCar’s suppliers have their own facilities on the Born site for their specialized activities. By having this select group of suppliers on-site, NedCar is able to install complete modules which are pre-assembled close to the assembly line. This means a higher quality for NedCar’s products and a substantial reduction in assembly time.
