In all production units at NedCar, and especially in the Paint Shop, extensive proactive measures are taken to ensure that we avoid or minimize the impact on the surrounding environment.

This focus on compliance with our environmental responsibilities has produced significant improvements in our business-related activities and NedCar has obtained certification by various international authorities, such as Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (EMAS II), for good environmental management.

One of these improvements concerns the use of water-based paints, which results in fewer heavy metals being discharged in the wastewater. We have also considerably reduced the emission of hydrocarbons. Furthermore, external noise nuisance has been significantly reduced and we also produce less waste and use fewer packaging materials.
