To fulfill the expectations of even the most critical clients, NedCar has an ultramodern Paint Shop with very advanced technology.

Here the untrimmed bodyshells arriving from the Body Shop are cleaned, degreased and coated with a zinc primer to ensure optimal adhesion of the water-based topcoat.

 

By using an electrocoating process, in which the entire bodyshell is immersed in primer, a corrosion protection coating is applied to even the smallest cavities and the inside walls of the steel box sections. The seams on the inside and outside of the body are sealed for extra protection and bitumen mats are affixed inside body panels to counteract noise and vibration
To protect the bodyshell against corrosion, more than 3 m2 of coating and 70 metres of sealant are applied in the Paint Shop. Including the finish coat, which actually consists of four coats of paint, more than 20 kilograms of materials are applied to each bodyshell during the painting process.
